Just a little Update...

Are children born to know how to text? It seems that way to us!

Just an update on Evan's syndrome. He had the blood drawn for his genetics test at the end of December and I got a call with the results last week. They found the mutated gene which confirms his diagnosis and give us a starting point to figure out where his syndrome came from. Now, we are waiting to hear back to see how much it will cost us to get Tony and I tested. If it came from one of us, we are looking at a 50% chance our next baby will have the syndrome, but if it was a spontaneous occurrence, meaning it happened at conception, there is a 2% chance our next baby will have it. It's all a little confusing, I know, but we are happy to have a confirmed diagnosis and even more happy that Evan is such a healthy child living with this syndrome. All of his check-ups lately have been fantastic and we are still on an every 6 month schedule for his extra doctors (ENT and Audiologist.)

An Afternoon Off for Mommy AND Daddy ...

Our fabulous Nana watched Evan so Tony and I could go fishing for the afternoon. This was my first time fishing since I was pregnant.

And my first fishing license in two years!

Poor Bug-Z spends much of his time deep under the dining room table. Evan is not real good at maneuvering under the table and chairs just yet. Hate to tell you buddy, but it's only a matter of time!

Evan's personality is shining very bright. He loves to fake laugh and this is the fake smile that goes along with it. He is an absolute ham!

As some of you know, my back has been an absolute nightmare for the past couple of weeks. It has been an up and down roller coaster of good days and bad days, but man was today a bad one. I woke up and couldn't even walk! I knew I needed help because not only did I have to get Evan out of bed and get him breakfast, but he had to go to the doctor. So, Ms. Barbara to the rescue! She was so kind to answer my early morning phone call and save the day. We loved getting to spend the day with you and hope your back isn't sore now from carrying Evan!

We love you to pieces and can't imagine our day-to-day life without you and Mr. Jim.

Can you believe how little Evan was? It is amazing how fast they grow.
