Well, I went to the doctor today just like I do every other week and guess what he said to me?!?!? "Mrs. Meier, you can resume normal activity!" WOO HOO!!!! How exciting is that? Me, normal? What's that? I forget.

Anyway, I have to jump back into life slowly, but for sure I can now jump!

I still have to soak once a day for a while, but that's okay. It gives me a chance to relax and catch up on some reading. This picture was from tonight. Tony ran my soaking water and said he didn't want me to get lonely, so he invited some of Evan's toys to the party.

Nichole, I Tried!

I have been trying to update, but Blogger is not allowing me to upload pictures! So, I guess I'll just blog with words. Let's see.....

Nothing much going on here. Just finishing up construction on our upstairs so Grammie and Paw Paw can move in soon. Everything is looking good. Paw Paw submitted their plans today to the Architectural Committee of their new neighborhood, so their construction should be starting soon. We had a pretty quiet weekend. Contractors were here most of the time, but we did FINALLY get to go grocery shopping. (I know everyone who has been here lately is happy about that!) This Saturday Evan will be SEVEN months old. That is shocking enough for me!

OH, and I was hooked on Mystery Diagnosis. It is a show on TLC that documents individuals trying to diagnosis extremely rare syndromes, diseases, and illnesses. It amazed me all of the stories of parents who knew something was wrong with their child and they had to push and push for doctors to look further into what was going on OR they had to find new doctors who essentially 'believed' something was wrong. It brought back a lot of memories of when Evan was first born and we knew something wasn't right. I felt like I could really relate to these people and I also heard the greatest statement ... "When you hear hoof beats you think horses, not zebras." It sums up the philosophy that it is generally more productive to look for common rather than exotic causes for illnesses. Evan is our zebra.

Six Month / Family Pictures ...

Well, considering Evan was not into smiling on the day of photos, the pictures still came out pretty cute. Evan's eyes are mesmerizing and in some pictures I don't even notice he is not smiling because his eyes are all I can see!

Now You Smile ...

We had Evan's 6 month pictures / family pictures last Friday and would you know that my little sweet boy smiled a total of maybe TWO times! He was a hard sale for everyone. Of course, after we were done, we went out to eat and he was his normal flirty, smiling self with everyone around. This picture was after the shoot and he looked pretty bored of us!

I guess next time we will have to just take pictures on Mommy and Daddy's bed!

Yucky Sunday ...

We had an experience with the 'yuckies' Sunday. Evan did not feel good all day and wasn't having much luck keeping anything in his tummy. We think it was from teething because he had no fever and he was never really cranky, just snuggly (Mommy couldn't complain!).
