Evan's 3rd Birthday!

Evan's birthday was very low key this year.  We had a very small party Saturday and Evan's decor of choice was bird dinosaurs.  His cake featured his favorite Dinosaur Train character, Tiny, and he LOVED it!  We had a great day and it was so nice to spend time with family.  

Sunday (his actual birthday), we had special birthday pancakes for breakfast and then later in the day went to Fuddrucker's and to look at Christmas lights afterward.  A perfect day for Evan!

A Name and Pictures.

We have been trying for a week to get good 3D shots of our newly named Easton, but he just did not want to cooperate.  Last week, he was active for a few minutes, then started yawning and was fast asleep.  Today, he was facing my back and would not turn around.  I left the doctor's office to have breakfast and then went back to try again.  He had turned around, but would not put his arm down from in front of his face.  So, this is what we got ...

His 3D's were definitely not as good as Evan's as seen below ...

but we'll keep him anyway!  ;)-

Family Day / Christmas Celebration at Grandmother Meier's Senior Living Home

It was so hard to get a picture of everyone.  This is the best I got!

An Excavator and Dinosaurs in the Manger?

 In our house, it exists!

Yes, that is a hot pink dinosaur hanging out of the back and in the next picture, you can see him peeking through.

Evan says the dinosaur is looking at "the King that is the Daddy."

Oh, the imagination of an (almost) three year old!

There is ALWAYS a Tractor!

Uncle Joel came over this evening to take pictures for our Christmas cards.  We got 'THE' picture in less than 20 shots (Evan was quite cooperative)!  This is not what is on our cards, but it is a cute take of Evan breaking his baby brother into his love of tractors.



Something for Baby.

One of Evan's favorite books is One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.  Thought the baby really needed this onesie.  If you can't read it, it says One Fish Two Fish Red Fish New Fish.

Tis the Season to Decorate.

Tony put the tree up over the weekend and Evan decided (ALL ON HIS OWN) that it needed a little decorating.

Think I might leave it this way! 

Hey, it's better than saying, "No, don't touch that," a hundred times a day!

Evan's New Room.

This is probably our favorite feature in Evan's room (and his too)!  It was really supposed to be a picture that you put a colored paper behind, but I had the idea to make it into a night light.  With the ever so clever hands of my husband, it turned out great!

Poor Bug-Z was so confused because Evan moved into our old room, but in this picture, Evan looks like the confused one!

Tony built these really cool bookshelves that are easily accessible for Evan.  He loves, loves, loves to read!  He really could have used an entire wall like this because we still have about 50 books on another bookshelf in his closet!

(Sorry this picture is so bad!)  MiMi got this STOP sign in Canton because for some reason, Evan loves STOP signs!

(Another bad picture!)  This is going to be a garage for six new and very big pieces of construction equipment Evan is getting for his birthday.  We filled it with some of his toys for now, but oh how excited he will be when he finds out what is really going in each compartment!

I bought Evan a 720 piece Lego truck.  I thought it would be fun for him and Daddy to put together.  Turns out it was a little more frustrating than anything.  Then, when it was complete, it only took half a day to fall apart.  ;)

The Barker's bought Evan a Pillow Pet and he LOVES it.  Before they went to get it, Ms. Barbara brought over a picture of each animal available and Evan picked the 'whale'.  Turns out it is a dolphin, but Evan didn't mind.  He now calls it a whale dolphin!
