Middle Column Worthy!

So, I just started the Evan Funnies in the sidebar, but something middle column worthy happened today that was too funny.

We went to Petsmart and the employees can bring their pets to work just as you can bring your pet into the store. Well, we brought Bug-Z with us, BUT I had to go inside the store first to buy him a new collar because his old one was a bit tight. So, we get up to the checkout and Evan walks a little ahead of me to the opening where the cashier is and he says really loud, "Mama! A baby deer!" as he points to something where the cashier is standing. He keeps yelling, "Baby deer, baby deer!" and of course everyone is coming over to look. Turns out it was the cashier's puppy. Everyone was so tickled by him and his "baby deer" that he spotted. The puppy was an Italian Greyhound that I guess kind of resembled a deer with it's skinny body and long legs. The greatest thing was that after we went and put Bug-Z's new collar on, we went and dropped him off with the groomer's to get his nails cut and they give you a bill and you go up front to pay before picking your pet up. Well, guess what! We ended up in the same line and repeated exactly what happened earlier for a whole new group of tickled people.

Well, I wanted to cook tonight, but I took some clean clothes up to Grandma at the hospital and stayed longer than expected. It was so nice to see her in such good spirits. She was telling jokes and talking up a storm. She told one of my cousin's over the phone that she liked it there because she was surrounded by men all the time! (She had a male nurse for the past two days and all of her doctors were men.) You would NEVER have guessed that she had just had an angiogram to unblock an artery.

An interesting tidbit to share about her procedure ... she had a wrist angiogram. Something that is done in less than 5% of patients. What's funny also is that Grandma said she had just seen this doctor on TV talking about this procedure.  I bet she never thought he would be performing it on her!  More Info
